Freshly stocked and full of flavor—Giolitti’s deli is back and better than ever! Annapolis, MD — After a temporary closure that left many locals longing for their favorite Italian delicacies, Giolitti Italian Market has officially reopened at its longtime location at 2068 Somerville Road. The beloved deli and market is once again serving the Annapolis community with its signature blend of authentic Italian cuisine, specialty groceries, and warm hospitality. The market had closed temporarily due to technical issues that affected its operations. During the closure, customers were encouraged to support the business by purchasing shelf-stable goods.  Now, with repairs completed, Giolitti's is welcoming customers back. The market has resumed its full range of services, including its lunch and take-out menus, catering, and wine dinners. The deli is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Established in 1992, Giolitti Italian Market has been a staple in Annapolis, known for its house-made sauces, fresh mozzarella, and a variety of Italian specialties. The reopening has been met with enthusiasm from the community, eager to return to their favorite spot for Italian fare. Annapolis, MD — June 2025  — This June, Celebrate Annapolis Juneteenth  invites the community to experience a weekend of inspiration, creativity, and connection at the Annapolis Town Center. Two impactful, family-friendly events will take place at the Juneteenth Pop-Up Shop (1910 Towne Centre Blvd, Suite 120) , designed to uplift voices and spark imagination across generations. The weekend kicks off on Friday, June 9 from 4–7 PM  with a Free Book Giveaway . Thanks to the continued generosity of Delegate Dana Jones , families can take home a wide selection of books for children and young adults—just in time for summer reading. The giveaway is part of an ongoing effort to foster youth literacy and encourage lifelong learning in the local community. On Sunday, June 15 from 5–7 PM , the celebration continues with the Father’s Day Poetry & Art Night , a vibrant open mic evening where local poets, spoken word artists, and creatives will share original works centered on themes of bondage, resistance, liberation, and resilience . No professional experience is necessary—just passion and authenticity. All are welcome to attend or participate, making it a space for expression, reflection, and togetherness. These free events are proudly presented by Celebrate Annapolis Juneteenth , a community initiative focused on commemorating Black history, culture, and creative freedom. The events are open to the public and family-friendly. Artists wishing to perform at Poetry Night must register by June 9  at theannapolisjuneteenth.org . We’re excited to introduce Valet Parking as a brand-new amenity at Annapolis Town Center, beginning Tuesday, June 10th! For just $5.00 (credit card only), tenants and guests can enjoy the convenience of valet service, located right in front of J. Alexander’s and Tempur-Pedic. All vehicles will be safely parked in the South Garage by our professional valet team. During inclement weather, guests are welcome to wait comfortably in the lobby of the 1906 office building while their vehicle is retrieved. Giolitti Italian Market closed suddenly last month, leaving loyal patrons stunned. Giolitti Italian Market & Delicatessen is temporarily closed due to technical issues, per a notice from owner Gene Giolitti. The closure has prompted an outpouring of support from loyal customers. No reopening date has been announced at this time.
